Coach, Parents & Players,
You may be aware that there is a Concussion Law that will affect youth sports in general, but especially soccer. Every club within Washington Youth Soccer will need to be in compliance with this law in order for the sport to move forward. In practicing and playing games each club needs to provide proof of insurance and compliance with the concussion law to the facilities (schools and park districts) to use their fields. That is where coaches, parents and players come to the forefront.
You can read more about this information at the following link:
http://www.wsysa.com/ConcussionInformation/tabid/1457/Default.aspx
In order for a club to be in compliance, all of you will need to sign the required document that Washington Youth Soccer is providing. That form can be found at:
Parent/Athlete Consent Form on Concussion and Head injury (Word .doc)
Parent/Athlete Consent Form on Concussion and Head injury (.pdf)
I encourage parents and players to read all of the material. Print out the document, sign it and get it to your coach. Coaches please collect the signed documents and turn them into your Club administration. Clubs will then start the process of collecting all documents for their entire clubs in order to be compliant with the new rules as presented by Washington Youth Soccer.

P R E A M B L E The Narrows Youth Soccer Association, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "NarYSA") is a volunteer organization. As volunteers, members have the freedom to choose to promote youth soccer and by so choosing they accept to abide by the high moral and ethical standards expected. As volunteers they understand that the only real strength of the association is in the commitment, dedication and hard work of the individual volunteers. It requires the unselfish promise to abide by the spirit of the laws and to promote the individual players to their highest level within a team, club and association structure.
